Join us for the 4th Annual Lamoille River Paddlers’ Trail Community Social, scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, June 19th!
From 5:30-6:30, participate in a family friendly 4 mile paddle from a launch on the Manchester Farm (arrive by ~5:15) to the proposed conservation and recreation area adjacent to the Cambridge Junction Covered Bridge. This private launch is located off a farm road just east of the antique barn and DOT facility on Route 15. Follow farm road 0.5 miles west to a turn-around.
From 6:30-8:00, socialize with other paddlers at a gathering, cook-out, and bonfire at this emerging, riverside park located on the east side of the Covered Bridge (accessed off Route 109).
Burgers, veggie burgers, and grilled veggies, and beverages will be provided. Potluck sides optional but appreciated. Come meet other paddlers, learn about recent accomplishments, share your thoughts on the potential conservation project, and enjoy an evening on and alongside the water!
Volunteers are also invited to help build a sign-in box, paint and install signage, and stain picnic tables, and construct removable stairs at the Cambridge Junction site earlier in the day (3:00-5:00). Come for one event or all three!
Come show your support for the Paddlers’ Trail, a volunteer driven, community effort to improve recreational opportunities along the Lamoille River.
RSVPs appreciated to noah@vermontriverconservancy.org
Hope you will join us on the 19th!
